Editing wise.there were a couple of typos (minuscule in number), but they didn't detract from the story at all. The story itself is filled with challenge, adventure, humor, suspense, and a new world (that I just love). Boy, was he wrong on all counts-and watching him as he figures it all out is beyond hilarious! Together they make the perfect pair, and their romance is off the charts hot (did I mention he, as well as all male Kordolians, attend mandatory classes on how to pleasure females when they reach maturity? Yeah, it's true.and it shows.just saying.).

Abbey (the heroine) is intelligent, funny, sweet, strong-willed, and determined enough to challenge Tarak-and his first perception of her as a fragile and weak, 'human' female. He really has a heart of gold underneath all the brawn and arrogance.really he just takes Abbey (and the reader) a little longer to see the 'big ole softy' underneath the harsh exterior he presents to everyone else (yep.there's a story there too!). Tarak, a Kordolian General, is broody, complex, insightful, vulnerable, and alpha to the core. Celia Kyle, Eve Langlais, Evangeline Anderson, CL Scholey, Mina Carter.etc.

And, even though this is her first book (that I am aware of?), I would say her story telling ability is right up there with some of my favorite authors.like. Anna appears to have the insight, humor, imagination and creativity to weave an engaging story. Okay, so maybe I'm a little jaded? Seriously, I can't help it! Over the years I have read hundreds (probably thousands.) of sci fi and/or paranormal romances, and I have to say this writer's talent stands out (to me) as one of the best new authors I have read in ages. considering some of new authors coming out of the woodwork lately. Seriously, I couldn't put it down-and I smiled from start to finish.
